Do you notice that popular heroes just about never have an actual agenda of their own? It's as if they just sit around waiting for some villain to "stop". Seriously. How many times have you heard it?  "He has to be stopped." "We have to stop them." Would they have anything to do in the absence of evil? The evil guys' lives are completely fulfillable without the good guys-- they don't need them at all-- so why isn't it ever the other way around?

It just makes the good guys look kind of co-dependent and weak, y'know?
